DIC Missing Op??

I get this message with "missing Op" when I try to reset the system checks (rotate tires, change oil, ect.) What would be causing this?

Its a 1993 Grand Prix with a 3.4L engine

 

 

I saw their other post...

 

 

However, unfortunately I dont know what 'missing op' means...

O Ok, well thats older then mine so I wouldnt know either.

Yes, this is correct. Sorry I didn't include this information, I didn't realize it may not be the same for other years or engine sizes.

I hate the older GP DICs.. half the button presses say that, because they're not the right button presses or something.. I dunno. Try holding reset for a few seconds.

The DIC will say MISS OP if you try to hit reset too quickly after you press another button. For example, if you press AVG ECON and then press RESET before your econ number shows up on the DIC, it will say MISS OP. Don't press buttons so quickly and it shouldn't do it.
