grandprixnyc
I have had this CD player sitting here for years, probably, in a box, not knowing what to do with it. Its NOS, as you can see it still has the plastic on the screen. I currently have the cassette deck, but i'm wondering if there is a way to make this work with the cassette player. (I also have a full size stock CD player but it just displays "ErrOr", so its not in the car) Also, I have no clue where I would even mount such a thing in the older style dash. Any ideas? Q-Ball
It's only a 1 din. It wouldnt work in your GP with out new face. Do you know what car it came out of? I think it it says error, thats due to the delco theft lock. You can unlock it, I think its in the FAQ's or do a search for it.
grandprixnyc
I'm pretty sure the single DIN cd player is for a sunbird, thats what it was advertised as, anyway. I have the 1.5 din CD player. It's not locked, but when you pop in a CD it just says "Error", so I don't have it in my car. I just have the cassette player in there now. But is there a way to have them work in tandem?

Does your tape player have a slave hookup on the back of it?
grandprixnyc
No, its one of the older ones before the provisions for "slave" players came out.

5speedz34
FWIW: If it's locked it'll say LOC.
ManicMechanic
Those shouldn't be able to be locked... Plug it in to the stereo where the steering wheel controls plug in to and see if it works...They didn't change much. As I recall, the Olds 88 and 98 used a similar set up and even used steering wheel controls...
grandprixnyc
Nice to see my old thread is still alive. I haven't had a chance to fiddle around with it, yet, as I haven't had the time. One of these days, though.... Also, it shouldn't be locked, its NOS...
