When trying to get the top opened for the first time on my rescue vert...an 11" section pulled loose from the attachments in the top frame where the frame meets the A pillar horizontal. any recommendations on a good glue/adhesisive or RTV to use? Any suggested methods or cautions?
Fleeingpepper
Great Stuff? Seriously, it's a real product. Not really used as a glue though..
kaptnjack
I am in real estate, construction and remodeling...I use great stuff on those projects but I think something different might be called for here. Thanks for the suggestion.
Fleeingpepper
Yeah, it's not really an adhesive. But I'm thinking JB Weld may do the trick. Never failed me before.
kaptnjack
I used 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Apply thin coat to each side, let dry for one minute, apply another thin coat to one side, install, apply pressure for one minute. Used a popcicle stick for applicator, taped of and papered all surrounding painted and fabric surfaces to catch "strings"...good thing I did too. Worked great.
