DavidHowell3633 Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 I have a 94 3100 and a 95 3100 and neither of them seems to have this mysterious purge canister. My 94 actually has a pigtail in the wiring harness for it that just lays around unplugged. The 95 doesn't have a pigtail. Does anyone have an image of this thing? I have done the LIM gasket thing on both of these cars and have no idea what a purge canister is, where it lives or whether or not I need one. Quote
Crazy K Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Look beneath the car behind the drivers side tire, below the gas cap area. the purge solenoid is located beneath the hood, and on 3100s, it is right behind the coil packs on the rear of the engine. Quote
DavidHowell3633 Posted May 10, 2008 Author Report Posted May 10, 2008 I was perusing thru our Vert forum and the thought hit me without realizing I needed to switch categories. I went over to Rockauto and looked at the pictures of these things so I'll know it when I see it. Thanks for the reply. David Quote
