Shifter23
Hey guys wondering if you all have suggestions on where to get some good rebuild parts for a H.D. 4T60. I am getting one shipped to me and wanted to have it gone through before it goes into my 89. Anything i can beef it up with? I already was told of the shift kit idea with the washers on a older thread of mine. Any leads would be great!
krenzy
Here's the kicker pal: There is NO 4T60 HD! Even though the TGP's come with them, there isn't one. Make sense? Not really. They only provide rebuild kits for the standard 4T60, which won't hold up long under the TGP power levels. You'll either need to settle, or ship it off to one of the performance tranny shops listed on TGPForums...whenever they come back online. Shifter23
Ah on TGPForums someone said that you can buy a accumulator spring kit and some little items for our transmissions. Another dude said something about new clutches but well kinda stuck since of course we are both suffering from TGPFourm blues lol.

OBD2 changed to OBD1, I'm going to do it no matter what anybody tells me!!! It has actually been done before with the earoly GTP's and a Fiero with a bored 3.1 or 2.8 with cam, heads, stroker kit, and a few other mods. I just need to find a write up. just think of it NO more hey 20k on the trany and I'm having issues.
