pontiacmaniac94 Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 okay, so more than likely, there has already been a post on this.....so i have a 1994 grand prix 2 door. i am wondering if i can use the the coilover from a 98 monte carlo z34? will that bolt up? also, what all would i need to take from the donor car? what other GMs can i take from, and which cars should i steer clear from? i am a little tired of the sag ass on my old Gp.... any other thoughts? i figure it would be easiest and cost efficent just to get a coil over instead of another monoleaf.... thanks guys! 19Cutlass94 Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 Why do you want to take parts from a donor car and get used parts? That makes NO sense. All you need are rear struts, the sleeves, adjuster nuts, springs, and the upper spring mount. Like $200. The 98 MC rear assemblies are different from yours so I doubt you can use anything. The rear assemblies on the 98 MC are not coilovers, they are springs with a 3-bolt upper spring mount. You have a 2-bolt upper spring mount. I think i still have links to get all the parts in my sticky at the top of the page. Check there, if not theres a thread not far down from here about someone who bought all his own parts. Quote
