gp90se Posted July 30, 2003 Report Share Posted July 30, 2003 So im out here in ohio at patgizz place waiting for my new (115k) 3.4 to arrive. before i put the motor and tranny in, im going 2 do basic things such as the t-belt, pullys, tentioner plugs, wires, o2 senson, intake gasket, o-ring and a general inspection to make sure everything else looks good. with the motor out, im going 2 powerwash the engine bay, paint the new subframe going in and running a 4 gauge wire for an amp. anything else i should check/change before i drop the motor and tranny in? -Jeff Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

patgizz Posted July 30, 2003 Report Share Posted July 30, 2003 i might get him to put the batt in the trunk yet, summit had a reloc kit on clearance for $25 the other day and i could go back and grab that. i REALLY like my coils relocated to the original battery tray and ive got a nice big air filter over there now. this is my 2nd 3.1----->3.4 dohc swap now, should be a breeze. first one was in and running in 2 days with just myself doing the work. now that i've got a monkey to hand me the tools it should go faster Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

gp90se Posted July 31, 2003 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2003 ehhh yea, but i would have bought it, come 2 ohio ans STILL dropped my 3.4 in, just because I (alright pat) can. o btw, my 3.1 took a shit yesterday, its pinging on 87, i only use cheap on the highway, started it up and it sounds like a piston wants 2 pop out of the walls. an octaine boost and a few minutes later its alright, guess ill swap the motor anyways.
