Yeah I've been running those zip mounts since 2004 and 80,000 miles on my Olds, no problems. Also had it on previous cars without an issue. Are you guys with the problems using the foam pads with it?

I'm also using the zip mounts and also haven't had any problems. Those tie on pretty tight, and this thing is pretty light. The friction of them tight against the radiator keeps them from moving around too much.

i used the foam pads and don't see how it should make much of a diff.....

i hope those aren't the hoses that came with the kit....they will leak over time.

they are.....but they were also freaking tough....hard to cut w/ a knife...I'll keep an eye on it though....won't be hard to swap hoses....just a tad messy.....lol

the hoses they supply are thin walled. goodyear hoses are much thicker.

these were pretty thick.

 

I'm picky like that....trust me, i'd have gotten better hose if I needed.

When I got my TGP there was an aftermarket fan that was mounted to the rad with those zip tie things and it wore holes through the rad core. I guess maybe it won't be so bad with a cooler since it's not vibrating quite as much as a fan, but I still wouldn't mount it that way if I could help it. I'd prolly use metal straping to secure it to the radiator core support (front body section of engine bay).
