AWeb80
I just did the poly dogbone mod and now that the engine is stiff...there is a bad clunk... I'm leaning towards a bad lower engine mount. What is your guess? watch the vid. I have my foot on the brake the whole time.....it intensifies the sound.....and I can feel the clunk too. Pontiac6KSTEAWD
You dont have to drop the sub frame to do a lower motor mount. Its about a one hour job. Althou it is a pain in the ass to do..
EviLette
set the car on stands, break loose the bolts, use a second jack to lift the motor slightly being EXCEPTIONALLY careful put the new mount in lower the motor and pray the jack doesn't slip and break an oil pan. Oh wait. Thats why I just shelled out 224 bucks to have two motor mounts put in on my car.
