blakngold4life
I am trying to get the oil pan out to change the main bearings, my shop manual suggests to drop the frame but when doing this the engine drops too leaving me with the same amount of room I started with. Any suggestions on how to get the oil pan out? (92 z34 auto). working on this at the moment so quick responses would be great.
1990lumina
You need to support the engine at the top with an engine brace (goes from fener to fender and hooks up to the top of the motor). That way when you let the frame down the engine stays in place.
blakngold4life
I had the engine propped at the time of my first post but it still moved. I ended up having a couple motor mounts that were still connected. Pan dropped and bearings exposed now.
