I would like to know the difference between the different engine models i hear referred to on the internet for the w-bodys like whats the diff between the L67 and the L32 and mostly, whats the difference between the Series 2 and 3 3800s. I ask this because I eventually want to supercharge my n/a series 3 3800 with this Whipple Charger http://www.wbodystore.com/grandprix/animul-performance-whipple-kits-new-p-25.html

which fits the Series 2 engines. I read somewhere that series 2 S/Cs will fit the series 3 engines with use of the series 2 lower intake manifold and this is supposed to be a direct replacement for the series 2 M92 S/c.

It's a thought....

If I were you I wouldn't worry about doing a Whipple as there are probably only 2 cars that have then and can get them to run right,a better option if you want big power would be a turbo.I would just do a top swap with a series 2 or 3 car and enjoy the higher compression and supercharger combo, youll be faster than stock L67/L32 cars, the Whipple will cost too much in the long run as it requires alot of tuning and you will need a race trans if you get it to work right.
