webbs
Alright so i have two 12 inch subs in a box in the trunk. What i wanna do is make a panel so it looks like the trunk is just short. in other words just one piece of wood that is flush to all the edges in the trunk. what would be the best way to go about this? I really don't know how to make a template mostly. Or if anyone has done this and has dimensions or something that would be awesome. Thanks for any help. Addicted to eaton
“Slick†will be the guy that you need to talk to. He does high-quality work. And he does a lot of customs installs. He can tell you every thing you need to know about stereo stuff.
slick
Use a large piece of cardboard, and make a template with that. Then trace it onto MDF. IMO, make it easy on yourself, can cut the larger piece in half, otherwise you will most likely never get the larger piece into the trunk. Also, another tip, leave like 1/8" gap all around, for the carpet. Otherwise, it will also make it a bear to put in also.
webbs
how would you go about making the cardboard template? just use a large piece of carcboard cut it roughly to shape and than make small adjustments?

Psych0matt
there was a guy on the cavalier boards IIRC that made a hinged one, so that he could flip it down toward the back if he needed to access anything. dunno if thats anything of interest, but might be an idea for ya
