Addicted to eaton
1. ABS- My abs light is light up on my dash and my brakes don’t seem to work right if I smash the brakes to the floor it skids lol No abs action at all. Checked the fuse. It’s good. What next? 2. BRAKE- It seems like my back brakes are not releasing all the way sometimes. The back pads are shot. And you can hear grinding sounds from the back. And its gets worse the more on the brake you push. But it always seems to grind some even after I let off my brakes. Brake pads and rotors are what I'm looking at buying. (Bought the pads). Really don’t feel like buying calipers. How do I know if there bad?
slick
Guarantee your rear calipers are shot. That, and the fact you have NO PADs left doesn't help either. ABS light on, even after fuse is good, means bad sensor.

Addicted to eaton
What sensors are there? all 4 wheels? I have no abs.. it will skid. And I got my back brakes done no noise anymore and they don’t drag Im thinking sensors are going to cost some cash right?
MonteCarloDude
What sensors are there? all 4 wheels? AFAIK every car with 4 wheel ABS has a sensor at each wheel.
Crazy K
I'd gie you a big meningful responce, but i AM LAZY. AND TIREd ok ok... I have discovered that the aux battery post has been responsible for ABS issues on my 94 CS time and time again. I grabbed a second nut and retightened the first nut, then did a "jamb nut" with the second nut. GOd hell or high water won't loosed that damn nut this time. also, there is/are grounds near the based of the column. TIGHTEN THOSE. you car does have 4 abs sensors. the ones that usually go bad seem to be the front, as the rears are encased within the bearings. I would first attempt to clean the ABS sensors on the front, as they sometimes get clogged with metal shavings over time. you can see the sensors right above the cv axles on the inside of the strut. so... tighten the aux bolt, the grounds, and try to clean the front abs sensors, then test and come back. BXX
The rear ABS sensor harnesses that go from the body to the hub assembly are the typical culprit. But instead of guessing what is going wrong in an ABS system, at least get the ABS code retrieved!!!! Guessing what will fix an ABS light is like picking out the least diseased hooker. Its just plain retarded
Crazy K
ah. check that too. I am suggesting do it yourself free stuff. I have not clue where I could take a car and get it diagnosed without spending $$$$. if it fixes it, no problem. if not. time to take it in.
