MikeP2389
So i got my summer tires back on and its even more noticeable. my steering wheel had to be to the left at like 5-8 degrees. now it has to be at like 10 to get it to go straight. i have new ball joints and a new passenger side outer tie rod end. the only thing i didnt get replaced is the driverside end because it was still pretty good. the tie rod still seems good because it feels tight when i try to move it but some of the rubber boot is wearing away. my driver side tires did wear a little weird and the passengers were fine. i also got an alignment a couple months ago after i had the new parts installed i dont think they did to good of a job because not much changed. could it just be that the outer tie rod is bad because the wheel doesnt return to the middle after a left turn? because it will return to the middle after a right hand turn. can the new tie rod end and a Good alingnment job make the steering wheel center? thanks
Andrew
i would go back and complain if the alignment wasnt right after they supposedly aligned it. has your car ever been in a wreck? i know in my old car, because of a previous wreck the caster angle was wrong(i was told the subframe was slightly bent), so it would never have perfect steering unless that was corrected, which would cost alot of money. MikeP2389
i smacked a curb doin about 20 before and fucked up my rim but the car still drove fine but i went and had the ball joints and tie rod replaced and it seems after that the wheel just sits to the left. i really hope i dint bend the subframe. rockfangd
sometimes alignments can be tricky. i know that because i have set the toe. checked caster sweep and it is still not perfect. always do a second sweep before saying its done lol. it saves hassle
