If you have coil overs on KYBs, you have no warranty, they were not made to have a threaded sleeve dropped on and wrapped in a spring, same goes for Koni, monroe, gabriel, you name it. So unless you get lucky and the company doesn't want to see the failed strut, your into the cost for replacement anyways. Jamie Luckily you don't have this problem if you have an FAF leaf. badassoldspower Posted May 26, 2008 Report Share Posted May 26, 2008 KYB voids the warranty due to the fact that the strut body has to be modified, then is used for and un-intended purpose. But on a side note, I have finally agreed with some that the FFP coilover was a waste of money, not to mention noisy. My GR-2's in back are trashed too, 20,000 miles.
