I am interested in a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix STE that's for sale. The owner said it makes a clunking sound when shifting from park to reverse. What could cause this clunking sound, aside from a dying transmission? I don't think it's a motor mount problem, as in the listing, the seller said it has new motor mounts. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would actually say subframe bolts but guess it doesn't matter anymore

That's alright, it's still handy information for the future.

that just reminds me of the noise I used to get before my subframe rotted on my 91... :frown:
