Mr_Efficiency Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Im turboing my 90 GP and someone on here before mentioned relocating the IAT sensor when using a TGP chip cause the IAT on the TGP is in the intake manifold. my question is were is this sensor on the regular GP? is that the one in the intake duct? if no then my next question is, what is that sensor for in the intake duct? lol Also if the sensor in the intake is the IAT then obviously I need a diffrent sensor to thread into the intake cause the N/A IAT is a push in deal and the TGP IAT threads in. thanks sorry if this is the wrong section I know its kind of a N/A GP question but i figured i'd get more attention here and it does kind of have to do with a TGP. mfewtrail Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 The sensor that plugs into the intake arm/snorkel area on a NA 3.1 MPFI is the IAT sensor. TGP's use a MAT(manifold air temperature sensor) instead of the IAT. You can get the MAT sensors from a part store for about $20. Quote
Mr_Efficiency Posted April 14, 2008 Author Report Posted April 14, 2008 So I just lengthen the wires for the IAT and plug in the MAT and tap the intake manifold for it? simple as that? Quote
