Night Fury
So today was my first day under my CS. WOAH. EVERYTHING is covered in... something. Every bit of the bottom of the engine, the front, sides and BOTTOM of the tranny, and there is even a sling line. I know for a fact that the two tranny lines to the radiator are leaking at the radiator, but that is not related. The reason I am concerned is it all looks relatively fresh. AND all of the fluid levels are good! Its crazy. What the F is making the mess?
Night Fury
What tranny do I have anyways? It doesn't say on the pan like the Ciera's does.
ManicMechanic
4T60...or 440T4.
1990lumina
Just Hydramatic on your pan I bet, same as my Lumina. Anyway, like Maniac said above, those are your two options. Did you also check your power steering fluid? When mine blew I had oil everywhere (although you'd know soon as it doesn't take much fluid loss for the pump to start making noise and the steering to get harder)

There is a bit of a squeak, but the steering is not hard at all. I may just add some. It was full to the C mark... Would it REALLY cover everything under the sun like that tho? Including the entire bottom of the engine+tranny? 4T60...or 440T4. how do I find out?
Euro
you run through some tar? and find the RPO code on the car, that should tell you.
GP1138
I guarantee the car has the 4T60 in it. The 440T4 is the same.
Night Fury
So.... What color should PS fluid be? What is currently in there looks a lot like tranny fluid. What I used to fill it up was crystal clear.
Euro
PS fluid is a reddish color. Kinda like clean trans fluid
Night Fury
Well the new Valvoline 75Kmi+ PS fluid is brake fluid clear. weird.
1990lumina
To be honest power steering fluid could be ANY color from my experience this winter. I used some that was beer color, red like tranny fluid color, and finally the good stuff - AC Delco Cold Climate fluid which is green. ismellrealbad
If you have that bad of a leak or combination of leaks it doesnt matter where its coming from or what color it is cuz its covered in over grime. It blows further back and all over everything from driving. Get a couple cans of degreaser and your garden hose and go to town (just watch for neighbors), then keep checking it periodically to see if you can get a better idea of what it is. If i had to gues your oil pan gasket is probably leaking along with the other leaks you mentioned.

Keep an eye on your fluids too. If you can pinpoint what kind of fluid it is and still cannot locate the leak; then add some dye and use a blacklight to see where it is coming from. Get a couple cans of degreaser and your garden hose and go to town (just watch for neighbors) Better yet--head for the spray-it-yourself high-pressure car wash. Warm water mixed with detergent and delivered at high velocity. Perfect. Drive the car up on ramps when you get there, so you can also spray from underneath. (and you also leave the mess at the car wash, not in your driveway.)
