Serpentine Belt Tensioner

I remember reading on here somewhere that your serpentine belt tensioner should be replaced every so often. I couldn't find it again via search, so does anyone know how often the tensioner should be replaced?

That was me.. It is recommended that it is changed along with the new belt which is roughly 60000miles. The main reason is so proper tension is retained on the belt. When tensioners get old, they dont adjust tension as good and cause more wear and tear on the accessory bearings
