xxREGALIZExx
hi all i just put these new sparks in my regals 3.8 only to be told by a guy at work that those plugs are not good to gm cars and have too much resistance and that after about a month of running them my coil pack, wires and starter would go. right now the car has never ran better . Has anybody else used these plugs in thier cars? should i switch them back to the ACs? THANKS MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!
alphagtp
it is one of those things that everybody says not to do. But I didn't knew about them being bad for my car until a year after I had them on my car and I personally like them, I have use them for 7 years now with no problems. I guess I'll stick with them. BTW mine are the +4's

BXX
you wasted money... wait til the tip starts to wear a bit after about 5000miles. It will wear and will eventually cause misfires
White93z34
no no no no. they are NOT a match for these cars, they will run but be prepared for a far shorter life, the ignition system by design ruins platinum spark plugs. I even did a search, the word "platinum" here is like a bad movie played over and over again. http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=15816.0 http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=612.0 http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=30073.0 http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=22424.

BIGBULS
I dissagree that 3.1's etc disslike platinums. BUT. I *DO* agree that Bosch plugs (+2, +4 etc) are NOT the thing to use for a GM 60 or 90 deg V6. I would strongly recomend picking up the AC Delco plugs recomended by the factory. Q-Ball
I have the BOSCH plate 4's in my car and its fine. Although, my coil pack did die a while pack. So I say avoid them. I'm just gonna AC Delco rapid fires. I think I remember hearing those are good.

pwmin
WASTE OF MONEY...that's all that needs to be said. We don't need another spark plug argument thread.
EviLette
IIRC... Bosch plugs are made for Volkswagon's as the OEM standard. Even people who own volkswagons don't use them. That's what I heard from my mechanic anyhow. The hard way. I now only run delcos, and I am pretty happy with them.. although I don't change them near as often as I should. lol
