Will Lumina seats fit in a GP???

Does anyone know if 95-97 Lumina seats [more specifically the seat rail/mounts/brackets] would fit into a 90 GP???

Honesty, I think they should since the bolt pattern hasn't chaged.

But, so that you don't get yourself in a bind, ask / find measurements yourself to double check / compare.

I've heard newer GTP seats fit in fine, they are much nicer IMO if ya ask me.

Why would you want to get rid of the TGP seats? They are the most comfy seats I've ever sat in.

I didn't tell the full story on why I wanted to know.

 

The 95-97 Lumina 9C1's [police package] came with Recaro race seats from the factory. I'd like to get the seat rails and brackets from the Recaro's and attach them to some aftermarket race seats so that I can replace my worn out TGP seats. That, and the stock seats weigh a lot [try 50lbs a peice :shock: ]. I've sat in race seats before, and some are really comfortable.

My friend put in 96 monte front and rear seats into his 90 Lumina sedan without any problems, if that helps any

Yours were in an '89 also. The '90 seats were designed different. I know mine sit down lower and feel softer.

That helps me a lot Brian. I love the Monte seats, my sister has a monte and I want to steal her black leather seats. I didnt know if the rear would fit, and now I do. Thanks
