vancutlass
If the fans aren't turning on, (causing major boiling of coolant and overheating), how do I fix it? Should I get the fans replaced or is it just a fuse I have to replace? Also where is the t-stat located on the 91 cutlass, I want to stick in a new one, it's not too hard to do yourself?? Thanks much appreciated!
1990lumina
Test the fan relay(s) first. Also, turn your A/C on and the passenger side fan should come on right away.

Crazy K
cycling the check engine light will turn the fans on. this is done on obd I cars with a paper clip at the aldl connector at the base of the steering column. while the clip is in, with the key in the run (but the car off) position the light will cycle and the fans will run. if they run... you either have air in the engine preventing the sensor from being in contact with the coolant, or the temp senor is bad,.
