shadow
Please anyone? Go on TGPforums and make a topic asking "Dogbone" there. I know he has a step-by-step with pics. No I changed the dogbones fine I was asking about the lower motor mount.
Addicted To Boost
No the guys name is dogbone!
EviLette
Just roll your creeper under the car. The motor mounts are essentially huge chunks of rubber with a little metal attached. If the rubber looks warped, cracked, dry, or otherwise NOT good.. your mounts are probably bad. I have two of them to get done on my car... seriously doubt I can change out my own motor mounts though.

EviLette
There are two that I am sure of... they are in the rear, so maybe tranny mounts? IDK, I'm not super-techincal on this stuff. I think there might actually be three under there, possibly four. I was looking at my brakes the last time my car was on a lift, so I don't really remember. Just roll your creeper underneath, and anything that sits between the motor/tranny and the subframe (or connects them) that involves a chunk of rubber is probably a motor mount. Crazy K
the stalking continues!!!! the lq1 has three. two for the motor on the left, and one fro the tranny on the right. the other 60degreev6s have two, one for the motor and one for the tranny, on each side. the 3800... don;t know. probably the same as the lq1
Psych0matt
Ken and I just popped my tGP engine back in last weekend. Two mounts underneath; one for the motor, one for the tranny, and two on top (dogbones)
shadow
Well I looked under the car today and from I can see there is a metal piece on the motor mount and it appears to be welded on..........on one side? I suck at this since I only think I saw one mount. Mechanic shop quoted me at $500.00 per mount went to pepboys and they wanted $450.00 per mount. ManicMechanic
The bracket for the mount is welded to the subframe, the mount is bolted to the bracket.
Psych0matt
you unbolt the motor mount from the underneath side, but have to get the mount out of the little cup/bucket thingy from the top, and of course unbolt the other side of the mount from the engine

Do I have to jack up the engine somehow?
ManicMechanic
Yes, you do.
Psych0matt
You shouldn't. Man, if I would have known about this thread I would have taken some pics the other day. If I had a camera I might even be able to get some now, but I don't have a camera anymore the tranny mount you can get to from the drivers side wheel well, but it doesn't sound like that's what you want to get to. You shouldn't need to jack it up, although if you physically don't fit then you might want to. Should jus be two bolts, on the bottom of an elongated cup shaped thing, I think 15mm (if not then maybe 13). it should be right on the middle of the passenger side subframe rail, on the inside.
