here's a heck of a thing for you guys. i jumped in my car and i started it, the steering column started smoking :shock: ,so naturally, i kill the engine pull the key out, and jump out of the car, leaving the door open. i get back in in about 5 minutes later, and bieng the genious i am :dunce: i started the car again, and this time no problems, i was just wondering what the heck would cause that ? it's a 1991 with the steering wheel controls.

your going to need to replace your turn signal switch, same thing happened to me, smoke came out of the stering column, replaced the turn signal switch, no more smoke and it worked perfect

oh yeah, i forgot to mention that you hafta hold the ricgt signal up to get it to blink.

 

and umm can i get a rear STB for my 1991 regal ?

Same things happened to me and it happened more then once. But i havn;t noticed my turn signals giving me any trouble.

yeah, my car was great about smoking. Expecially while driving down the interstate (When it first happened) I began dissasembling my steering wheel going 80 MPH it was fun times. TSS is what is wrong, replace that and you will be fine.
