PCGUY112887
I want some type of stiffer dog bone mounts for my 3500... right now I have the 96 style mounts. What are my options? I know I can use old FFP mounts but then what do I have to convert to use that older style of mount? Right now one of my "strut tower brace" (whatever the brace is on the front of the engine that makes the dog mount mount) is modified for my headers so I can't get rid of those... I would love some poly inserts for my mounts, the way the stock rubber mounts are lets things move all over! As far as transmission mounts go, I have the stock one on (113k miles on it). I have a solid rubber engine mount, would I even be able to notice if I changed to a solid rubber or poly tranny mount?
19Cutlass94
If you wanted to use the FFP, you would have to use the otehr style mounts. For what you have now, I believe ZZP makes poly bushings for them. The stock tranny mount should be a solid rubber. They only used a hydraulic mount on the engine mount. Im not aware of anyone that makes a poly tranny or engine mount that'll fit these things. If you know please tell!
Fleeingpepper
I thought FFP went down, they get a new site or something? [/hijack]

19Cutlass94
<---------wants poly mounts. If you dont have the newer style mounts, switch to them and get ( its either ZZP or Intense ) that has poly inserts. Or look at MRZ. I thought that they made poly dogbones... PCGUY112887
I already have the "newer style" mounts (they look exactly like GTP mounts) problem is I don't know if their the same size or not. Can you confirm this? Because Intense has this package http://intense-racing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IR&Product_Code=3800-PRO-UMMP-xxx&Category_Code=3800_PP Which I would LOVE to have! 19Cutlass94
Yes, they are the same mount. If you look up the brackets on http://www.napaonline.com they have the same part number for your 1996 and the newer GP w/ 3800's. So yes you can get those! BTW: ZZP has them for like $55. PCGUY112887
Yes they do however it seems that (sadly) ZZP only carries the front mounts, not the mounts for the engine side of the dogbone mount as well.

Im not sure if the 4T60-e and 4T65-E use the same mount or not. since that doesnt say, but I guess we can find out though.
