95 BLKDOUT Drop Top Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 what i mean by finishing; some people have been making some for a few years now, i know of no one actually finishing a set and selling them Quote
jmoore4294 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 http://www.heldmotorsports.com/WBody/Coilovers.htm They've been making them and selling them for a while now. Quote
95 BLKDOUT Drop Top Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 ive been to that site, i always thought they only sold the rear. Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 Nope, they have front and rear, stage 1, 2 & 3 kits. Stage 1; You supply your own struts Stage 2; includes KYB GR2s Stage 3; includes Koni struts All the kits are available with any spring rate you want. Myself I have 300lb in the rear and 350lb in the front. Jamie Quote
95 BLKDOUT Drop Top Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 ok thas kool, Ill probablt opt for the stage 2 with the KYB's all the way around with the tubular laddar links and trailing arms with the polyurathane bushings, anyone got any experience with these upgrades? Ive got KYB struts on now in the rear and i like the ride i just hate that stupid mono leaf. Are the koni struts in the held stage 3 package adjustable some way? my front end is so sloppy that its not even funny, i jus did the inner/outter tie rod ends, ball joints and cont arm bushing (rubber not polly) and the thing is still sloppy as hell. theres a knock that happens on the right side when im turning into a drive way or hit a bump or somethin (thinkin its the strut mount and bearing) so im gonna upgrade the front with the coil overs also. Any idea on a good mount/bearing plate (front and rear) i got monroe strut mate rght now and they seem pretty damn cheap to me. Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Dude, search, lol... I have ALL of the held components on my car, and I am in line for the ones he is working on (front tubular control arms with poly bushings) Here is a link to my thread, 13 pages of information and walk through... http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=61157.0 The noise you are hearing sounds like it could be the strut bearing, or a hub? I dunno... If it is the strut bearing the monroes will suffice. Check around, you may be able to find some made by KYB, I'm not sure. FWIW, you won't regret coil overs (despite the other thread, lol) Jamie Quote
95 BLKDOUT Drop Top Posted March 28, 2008 Author Report Posted March 28, 2008 ok cool, i jus hope they dont stop makin stuff like ffp did, front tubular cont arms would be great. I gonna order all this stuff and put it all on when i have the extra time. Ill be sure to do a step by step how-to with pics for all of it. Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Held is not going anywhere, that I assure you. Unlike FFP they make more than 3 parts for w-bodies. Held also makes stuff for imports, and they do contract work for larger companies (other companies names go on the product, this is why they aren't shown on the site) Jamie Quote
