Trans Temp

Warming up, jumping straight onto the highway and setting the cruise will usually keep things MUCH cooler than you'd see in town.

Never looked at a W-Car, but my old roomate's Beretta (Canada) would go to 140-150 deg just jumping on the highway.

Expect a W-car is be similar here.

Now...........in TOWN, his car was sitting in the 170-180 deg range, but Burrito's have a lower stall toque convertor than W's (less heat), and we WERE doing this on a 55ish deg day.

Finally, beating on his car (doing MULTIPLE WOT runs, some all the way to the governor), we never saw much over 200 deg (206ish IIRC). Again, a W car would likely be a bit higher, but then, his Beretta DID have a 3400 swap too though.

One other car..........the old neighbor had a 00 GTP with intake/3.4in pulley/downpipe/exhaust/powertunr. That thing would push close to 200 around town, and sometimes nudge 210 down WOT pulls from 0-145+ mph. Can't ever remember it going over 212ish though.

EIther way, 200 or less is where you'd RATHER be, but getting north of 220 is when you should start easing down (and 250+ is a big-ass no-NO).

In town and playing with the gas... 60's outside... I've seen about 143*F. Typically it's lower. I have a large aftermarket trans cooler, and my trans pressure is turned up.
