gmrulz4u Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 I know that in order to test for a ruptured FP regulator diaphragm I'm supposed to remove the vacuum hose that goes to the Fuel Pressure Regulator, and see if there's any fuel inside, or squirting out. But I'm not sure which end of the hose, if it matters, that I'm supposed to remove? I removed the portion going into the top of the throttle body, but I didn't see any evidence of fuel inside...so should I take off the part that connects DIRECTLY to the regulator itself? THANKS! Robby1870 Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 yeah, I would take it off where it attaches to the regulator. That way, if there was/is fuel in there, it would spill on out Robby Quote
gmrulz4u Posted July 26, 2003 Author Report Posted July 26, 2003 OK thanks...and I do NOT have to remove anything to gain access, right? I know that the FP regulator is "kind of" hidden underneath the plenum, so I just want to make sure I don't pull the hose off, and then not be able to attach it back correctly... Quote
Robby1870 Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 You should be able to take off and reattach the vacuum line without taking anything off. If you need to take the regulator off for a new one, the plenum will need to come off Robby Quote
