EviLette
good job ... it's a good feeling, ain't it It was for a couple hundred miles. It seems to be drifting still, I can't tell if its the wind or not... seems to be a bit much play in the steering still, though the responsiveness is greatly improved. That could be due to the ONE inner tie rod not yet replaced. LOL Also, it pulls slightly to the right on braking.. also seems to drift right, but once again, could be the horrendous winds we have been having. I'm now having nightmares about some unknown frame damage. Carfax history was clean, i was backed into at a red light... but I didn't think he would have done anything to the frame.. considering the front bumper survived with naught but a scuff in the wax and a slight offset. I know my car is aligned properly, tires balanced properly, etc etc...but sometimes I'll let go of the wheel and I'll see itself inching over to one side of the road. Maybe it's just the grooves in the road that are doing it to you!

Maybe it's just the grooves in the road that are doing it to you! I'm really hoping it is. On the one hand I figure, yeah its 16 years old but I've done x amount of work to it, so it should be driving great. It is! I mean, soo much better. Only now I can feel that it's really time for me to replace my suspension again. Debating now going to coilovers or just using the warranty on the monroes, lol. You just can't tell right away if its wearing on brand new tires or not. At least I cant... I'm really hoping its not.. it doesn't pull hard on braking, and it only drifts slightly, but it has always drifted to the right.. ALWAYS, no matter what. So I really just don't know. Right inner tie rod was replaced, left side was not.. so maybe its a bit looser over there? I dont know... but from my understanding, if the FE isn't tight it can't be aligned, period. So that tells me that (hopefully) everything is in good working order up there.
