Sub fram tranny swap questions

Ok so its nice out side. I have jack stands, Jack, And a socket set. And a wheel wrench…. How hard would it be to drop the sub frame and swap trannys.? BTW it’s a 1995 Grand prix 2 door 3100 v6.How long should I expect it to take? or is it even do able.

Any walk threws? Any pictures.. or how too's?

everyone seen this a million times by now but...

I would highly not recommend doing it from underneath. that was another mistake i made. the auto just barely fit out. getting it back in would have been near impossible. i had enough trouble getting the 282 in and bolted up thru there

engine lift out the top makes the most sense to me.

 

how I would do it now that I have an engine lift.

in that picture the one side is dropped to the floor. ken is right. i now have a hoist also and thats the only way ill be doing it form now on. it was 120 bucks at pepboys

I was asking why not drop the whole subframe.
