video of my LED 3rd brake light.....

okay, so to make a long story short, i replaced the 3rd brake light with a set of LEDs, it is a total of 14 bulbs on a strip that fits tightly inside the old housing....i didnt actually meassure it, i had the strip lying around, and i cut it to size, since i had an extra housing laying around my basement.

sorry about the sound, i wasnt really worried bout it sounding good, just that it looked cool.

you will also notice that the LEDs light up quicker than the regular bulbs, so i was kinda planning on upgrading all the tail lights in an attempt to make it all work quicker.

i am also working on whiting out some taillights and putting in LED lights in the housing for that as well, but wil be a few months from now.....more then likely this summer.

what or where did you source your LEDs from?

o dear, dont understand the question, if you are asking where i got them, i actually ordered them off of Ebay about two years ago. the seller is no longer there, i just checked but it was just a strip that already is set up for 12 volts.

here are pics of the strip i havent converted over yet.

i used the old wiring from the original housing and just soddered (sp?) them on positive and negative, and put the light cover back on. the whole process only took about 30 minutes.

Oznium.com sells all sorts of LEDs. They might have something for an application like this... been a while since I was on the site.
