5speedz34 Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Can these be lubricated? I found this link. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Locksmithing-3110/Auto-ignition-locks.htm I think Skylarks got Pass Key II in 96? Quote
slick Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 Yes, they got PK2. Anyways, I had a similar issue happen with my Acura. Some liquid wrench sprayed into the ignition cylinder, and turning the key a few dozen times did the trick. Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 18, 2008 Author Report Posted March 18, 2008 Mine isn't stuck; its maybe two "stiff" for me. Who knows maybe this is how it should be? Two questions: 1. Should I lube the ignition cylinder since there are contacts inside of it for the resistor? 2. Should I use graphite or silicone lubricant? 3. My service manual mentions nothing of this. Quote
slick Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 If it don't need fixin, don't bother with it. Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 18, 2008 Author Report Posted March 18, 2008 Well its not broken, but its stiff. I'm just asking if I should lube it? Quote

What the hell is Z4? Feel free to quote that, I was typing that and was like this is going to get sigged. Quote
