BXX Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Haha, teal metallic on seafoam. Yup, it's what happens when a engineer smokes crack Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 No its just funny because its identical to first gens. Quote
jeremy Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 wow that interior is horrid!!! I would swap it out immediately!! Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I don't know what it is but its not that bad... Quote
ismellrealbad Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I was thnking the same thing. Its because the seats are leather and gen2 dash's look nicer. Quote
Brian P Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Seafoam and body parts off a Daytona replica and fires and crosslaces all in the GTP package. I vote this best 2nd Gen of 2008! Quote
93cutty Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 Soooooo no one wants to swap interior . Remember guys this is my 600 dollar work car the only thing I am going to do is clean it really good and paint the fender and door. This car is so dirty that the moonroof wouldn't open until I cleaned 10 years worth of crap from the tracks. It is going to the dealer next week to get the recall fixed and if it burns between now and then it will be worth 600 to watch and take pics. On another note have any of you put cherry bombs on one of these. My little brother put some on this gem and it actually sounds pretty good. Quote

Ive been wanting a GTP soo bad but can never afford what these people think they are still worth. Quote
93cutty Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 I got really really lucky with this car. The only reason I got it so cheap was my little brother basically is bored with it and wants a truck. He paid 1400 at auction for it and he put over 500 in it. He knows that with the fender and door different colors it would be hard to sell around here. Even my wife yelled at me when I brought it home until she drove it and now she loves it. Quote

93cutty Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 You guys that have these what do you usually get for mpg. Last night the dic said I was getting 29.5 on the interstate. Quote
Euro Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 That's not uncommon!!! They do pretty well on the highway. Quote
ismellrealbad Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 cuz the fuckin way these things are geared your only at 2,200ish at 75. and it has enough power to hold it there easily. Quote

AFAIK, the recall hasn't officially been issued yet....it is just in the early stages of getting everything together to start working on the cars Quote
supreme_style21 Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 SEAFOAM GREEN LEATHER!???@?@@?!??! *world explodes* hahaha Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Damn, I wish I could find a 2nd-gen for $500. The second-gens get great mileage for their size. Quote

Brian P Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 gearing mostly but probably better tuning too. Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 gearing mostly but probably better tuning too. Ya, I would agree with that. How much better tuning though? Quote
Euro Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 With 3.29's I see about the same MPG as most GTP's. My Lumina and GP were neck and neck mostly. I'm going to go with more efficient motors? Less wear and tear? Quote
Brian P Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 I thought GTP's got 2.93? ^^ yupo! And I think the base Montepalas with the 3400 had the 2.86 FDR which net them 32mpg highway. Quote
