SiNNERZ34
I am buliding a full custom electrical system incorporating extra features that were not included with the vehicle, moving/changing certain components for ease of service and more reliable operation, and deleting factory features which are no longer needed. This requires a complete redesign of the main engine wiring harness. Since the factory harness in the vehicle also had several damaged/worn areas (cracked insulation, several almost shorted sections, brittle wire cores), I don't trust it as a reference for testing. What I am looking for is a detailed reference for the PCM and sensors in the vehicle so that I can choose the appropriate conductor lengths and diameters and insert supplemental resistance as needed to help prevent faulty sensor operation and potential PCM/sensor damage. If anyone knows of any book/online reference that would have this information, it would be greatly appreciated.
GutlessSupreme
Look for a factory service manual on ebay.. they have pinouts for everything, plus everything else you will ever need to know about your car. Make sure you find one for your year though, a lot of the time wiring will change from year to year (pinouts, colors, etc).

If I can't find one on eBay, I live 2 blocks from the local Chevy dealership so I'm sure I can scare one up. The next part, of course, is getting all the new parts. Most of the electronics supply places I have gone to sell thing like harness connectors and pins in bulk only. For some things, like various connector pins and the wire itself, this isn't a problem. Many of the connectors, though, I only need only 1-5, not 50. Is there anywhere that would sell these types of components in smaller quantities?
