BXX
Ok, since I am going to do DIY front and rear strut tower braces for my own car, I thought I could prolly turn it into a mini-group buy or at least have a few made to be sold in the future.. Not to jump into Adams area of expertise, but I want to do it for my car, so I though offering them for others wouldnt be a bad idea. One of the biggest things is an aftermarket FSTB so y'all wont have to hunt down Cutty FSTB's or use the GMPP one the looks like crap I will have the help of my father who will be doing the actual designing on his solid modelling software at work (He's a product designer for Dana Corp) off of the rough templates I give him. I will get a finalized design that he can either have made in the maching shop where he works, or I can take it to any maching shop to have made. I look to have a complete and tested design within 3 weeks. I will be doing the template to take to him on Thursday. He should, if all goes well, have a final design for me the following week that I will have to test against actual specs. From there any adjustments if neccessary will be made and completed and the final design will be ready for the machine shop. Not a real difficult process really. Also, I should have a Regal coupe to test a design with. I heard the Regal coupes have different hinges, so a buddy will be letting me borrow his 89 Regal for a few hours here and there for prototyping. The main one will be based off my Cutty which is a 96 3100 auto. Unless I have a LQ1 and/o 5-speed vehicle handy, I cant help much in that area unless someone can take a few pics of their engine bay with measurements I can go off of for clearencing. I am also looking into making the FSTB to tie in directly to the core support, successfully eliminating our stock core support braces. Any comments or anything are welcome. So speak up and let me know of your interest if there is any.

mediabandit
i would like to have a nice set of both front and rear stbs for my Lumina Z34. i do not like the cutty ones. so if your design is visually appealing as well as fundamentaly functionable then i would be interested. Thats exactly what I am going for... I am also thinking something that would work out nicely is making different tie braces... You know, the ones that go from the strut towers to the core support... I would like to make ones that will be cnc'd with designs such as Z34, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, stuff of that nature. Ive seen them before for 2nd gens and only like 1 design... I've only got 5 RSTB's left they fit all w's except for verts and 2 door Regals.

( not saying yours does not look good)
AWeb80
It is 1/4" steel hot rolled plate laser cut just like the RSTB mounts.....they are WAY more stiff than the stock ones.

I really didnt intend to make any money like I have already said, and the braces I assumed I might only sell a couple. I want to make a few extra sets, if nobody buys them, I always have them for other W-bodies I will own. And I MIGHT have a LQ1 car to borrow.. Not sure yet... A junkyard is supposedly gonna let me come out for a day here and there to use to prototype off of. And I want to offer a RSTB for Regal coupes... I havent seen one in a bit, so the design may get fun.... Well, I have Thursday off, I have to work on a guys van, install my GMPP trailing arms, balljoints, inner and outer tie rods on my car. Hopefully there will be time left in my day to get some templates started..
