Dark Ride Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I'm Finally buying new carpet for the TGP. http://www.stockinteriors.com Found them on ebay, they seem to have their stuff in order. Its not generic like JCWhitney, where you order and then tell them everything under the sun about your car. What do you guys think? Anyone else have any good experiences with companies making aftermarket carpet. I've heard to stay away from JCWhitney. Thanks, Mitch Quote
Addicted To Boost Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Looks like a good deal if you can find the right color. Quote
Garrett Powered Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 its a toss up between med. gray and silver. I would have samples sent to you. good price at $109. good find! Quote
Bake82 Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Get samples sent to you. Do NOT buy off the online colors. I've heard of a few ppl getting screwed and you can not return the carpet usually. I've had good luck from a local supplier. Bought 2-3 carpets already for different cars/trucks. Been excellent every time. I've ordered another one for my cutlass. Should be here this week. Quote
Dark Ride Posted March 10, 2008 Author Report Posted March 10, 2008 It was free to request samples so I requested samples of the three shades of grey (I'm converting the TGP to gray because I never liked the tan) Once I get them and I decide what color, I'm probably going to order from them. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Quote
LuminaPower92 Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 yeah let me know what grey cause my Z needs new grey carpet and i'd like to go with something close to stock. Might swap in later z seats though too. Quote
94CutlassXtreme Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 I bought a replacement carpet for my 94 Cutlass a few years back and it never fit right. That and about a foot of material had to be trimmed from all sides. Save up the extra cash and go OEM if you're planning to replace your entire carpet. The OEM mats I bought from them on the other hand fit perfect and matched really well. Quote

Fmr12B Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 I really need new floor mats as I'm using cheapo universal ones that came with the car. $80 shipped for two front mats in black with red rocket emblems embroidered in. Not bad but not cheap. If the quality is good I could swing this. Anyone ever try a group buy from these guys in an attempt to get a lower price? Quote
Dark Ride Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 well, if I have good luck with the carpet I'll probably order floormats Quote
EviLette Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 GREAT find! Favorited. I'm not worried about perfect shades. Black is black, right? I'm dying for black carpets.. I'll get some black carpet somewhere around here and trace out the side panel trim at the bottoms of doors and in the rear seat area... easy sauce. Props man. Bigtime. Quote
