Testing FUEL PRESSURE...

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be buying a Fuel Pressure Gauge this weekend and I BELIEVE all I'm supposed to do to check it is hook the fittings up to the Schrader Valve, and that's it, right?

Anyone done this before??

Hey gmrulz4u,

You're right - hook it up to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. Watch out as fuel will squirt out of the valve as you try to hook it up - no smoking! You'll also have a small button to depress on the side of the guage fitting to release fuel pressure, if needed. I'm not sure what type vehicle / engine type you have so I can't give you exact figures on what PSI you're looking for, though.

Good Luck,

Great, thanks man!:)

I believe it's supposed to be 40-47 psi with KOEO...

It's the 2.8L MPFI

Is that with just the KEY ON, or is that for both KEY ON and ENGINE RUNNING?

it should be pretty much the same either way, but the 45 is for running, I think
