Euro Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 umm chevy lumina and raw power are two things that should never be in the same sentence.... Yeah remember that WAS back in 1990, where the 3.1 wasn't nearly as horrible performance wise compared to now. Quote

Yeah remember that WAS back in 1990, where the 3.1 wasn't nearly as horrible performance wise compared to now. Exactly. It's easy to poke fun now that standards have changed, but we're talking about 18 years ago. Sure, "raw power" was probably a stretch even back then, but remember, this was only around a decade after the fury of powerful, 180hp V8s (i.e. the GM 305). Thanks a million, Matt. I can't believe there was an ad with a TGP AND a TSTE in it. Quote

hotrodolds Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 You're right. The 305 made an excellent boat anchor. Quote
