Yeah remember that WAS back in 1990, where the 3.1 wasn't nearly as horrible performance wise compared to now.

Exactly. It's easy to poke fun now that standards have changed, but we're talking about 18 years ago. Sure, "raw power" was probably a stretch even back then, but remember, this was only around a decade after the fury of powerful, 180hp V8s (i.e. the GM 305). :rolleyes:
