What's the going rate for a radiator these days? Mine has started spewing out of the top right corner now. What's all in that chunk up front? Looks like the trans cooler is wedged in there too?? Do any of the A/C lines run thru there? I gotta figure out if it's worth fixing. I've got a starter going out too, and I'm ready to give up on it. I've got too much money into it and I'm going to have to start drawing a line I think.

The trans cooler is part of the radiator. The A/C lines run to the condenser which is in front of and separate from the radiator.

Radiator's aren't that much, they run about $150.

Yeah I figured they'd still be around 200 bucks. Might have to just fill it full of stop-leak (which I'm always against) and call it quits if that doesn't work. Ya can only stick so much money into a car before it starts to become too much of an expense. This one is starting to head down that path. She's done me good the past 5 years, so it's tough to put it away. Why do a lot of us get emotionally attached to a CAR? It's a car. It's like putting down a sick dog that you grew up with.

negative!!! if you must... slather it with jbweld. btw... are you aware that you could get a used radiator to put in? and a used starter if you must too?

Yeah I'm aware. Around here, used costs about as much as new.

I can't tell where exactly its leaking from. There is a 4"x4" or so chunk of radiator that is wet and smokes like a banshee once it gets to operating temp. I can't see anything physically spraying out from anywhere.. it's got on the belt and thrown it all over the engine compartment. You can actually take a shower in anti-freeze if you wanna open the hood. Once everything leaks out of the overflow tank, it seems to kinda stop or slow down. I get a 'low coolant' light when I'm tooling down the highway. If I stop the car, it goes off. As far as I can tell, the water pump isn't leaking and I've already replaced the lower hose. The little bypass hose isn't leaking either. It all points to that small piece of property on the radiator.

Radiator's are easy to replace. About $150-$250 depending on your area. It's probably leaking from the tank.
