5speedz34 Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Is it possible? Has anyone tried. I think with a Getrag it is. But I want to say the 4T60E won't clear the ABS master cylinder. Anyone got a definitive answer? Quote
Psych0matt Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 I'm 99% sure when I had my engine replaced he took it out the top Quote
ManicMechanic Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 But did the trans come out with it Matt? Quote
GP1138 Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Wouldn't it be hard with the headers barely clearing the rad? Or is this a different 3.4? Quote
Crazy K Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 good question. I need to do this myself asap. I'd guess you can unbolt the engine and tranny??? Quote
patgizz Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 i did it without removing the abs anything on the z34, 4T60-e and all. take out the radiator. then get it up high enough to hit the brake stuff and swing it clockwise(if looking at it from the top), jack some more, spin some more, and jack it up/out. 5speedz34 Posted February 9, 2008 Author Report Posted February 9, 2008 Ken, on the AC I agree. I meant to put did you need to remove the radiator? Quote
Crazy K Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 Ken, on the AC I agree. I meant to put did you need to remove the radiator? vs covering it with plywood? reasonable question... Sorry, I was distracted by the lesbian seagulls!!! Quote
gpchris Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 I pulled both out last month. I did have to remove the master cyl but thats no prob, 2 bolts and 4 brake lines. There was no way it would come out with the master cyl/abs still in. Quote
gpchris Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 Theres like NO ROOM but its still not that bad.. MASTER CYLs GOTTA GO Quote
5speedz34 Posted February 9, 2008 Author Report Posted February 9, 2008 Why did you yank the motor Chris? Quote
