jmoore4294 Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 What are a list of places on the LQ1 that could be leaking coolant on the right side of the engine and getting onto the serpentine belt? Thanks. Quote
88red4cyl Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Not familiar with the LQ1, but when the water pump went out on my 3100, it was leaking coolant all over the belt from the weep holes... Quote
jmoore4294 Posted February 8, 2008 Author Report Posted February 8, 2008 Water pump is brand new. I can't see the leak. A while ago, I could see coolant sitting on top of that little plastic cover just below and in front of the P/S pump (the one that sits over the serp. belt). threw in some stop leak and it stopped for a while. 2 days ago, that little 3 inch hose coming from the water outlet split in half, and spilled coolant over the belt, but I fixed that, and sprayed down the belt until it stopped squealing and drove it fine until today, when I could smell burning coolant again, and a squealing belt. 5speedz34 Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Coolant runs through the LIM right behind the power steering pump in that area. Quote
jmoore4294 Posted February 8, 2008 Author Report Posted February 8, 2008 Dang. You guys keep reminding me of stuff. I actually had the LIM gasket replaced about 3 months ago. Quote
