badassoldspower Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Since last discussed, I have received my engine and crank back from my machinist where I had the crank turned down .25mm and had the block cleaned, boiled and inspected, installed new cam bearings and honed the cylinder walls. I will be soon sending my pistons out locally for ceramic/moly coating. As of now my 3500 heads and intakes are all gasket match ported, along with the 3500 "header" style manifolds ported out as well. I will be running 2 inch off each exhaust bank, merged into 2.5 inch with no cat havent decided on muffler, but will have dual exiting. At this time I have not decided on aftermarket valvetrain due to DHP powertuners are no longer produced. All comments appreciated minus focus boy. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Even with the work that you are doing now, youll need to atleast tune the fuel trims. Buy an HPT. That investment will allow you to produce MUCH more power. Quote
badassoldspower Posted February 7, 2008 Author Report Posted February 7, 2008 Yeah Im safe on fuel trims, I can reflash my PCM at my dealership with 3400 info, and also I checked my fuel trim data today on the Tech 2 and im at maybe +1 or 2+ richen, My PCM has plenty of expansion capability. Quote
badassoldspower Posted February 7, 2008 Author Report Posted February 7, 2008 Yes it is a "Good" idea but i dont wanna dish out $500 on HPT software Quote
