Hello everyone, I have just a small problem. My car idles rough more than it used to and I need some opinions. well when my car first idled rough, it was the pcv valve, and I got that replaced, with a new and better one. Problem is it wasn't fitting on there right to where the lip of the rubber connector that fits to the valve was angled away from the valve letting outside air in. Well I went to autozone and bought a hose clamp and put it on and bam problem fixed. Well later on the next day I start her up cold and she's idling rough again. I haven't checked the plugs yet since I've seafoamed the car so I know that can be one possibility, but I was also wondering if there were any others.

when I shut the engine off there is a hissing noise from under the hood after the car had been driven a distance (i.e.-20 miles, which is from my dorm to my house). I don't know if this is another vacuum leak, or possible gasket leaking. I'm not losing any antifreeze so I don't know what to think.

I'm thinking maybe another possible vacuum leak somewhere else or bad plugs, problem is I don't know really where all to look. Thanks.

What year is your car? If it's a 94 or 95 & the vac lines are ok, then you may need to do an idle relearn. IIRC, there's a FAQ posted in the FAQ forum with the procedure.
