Brian P Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 since that hole in the center is empty, can you get a small flat blade screw driver in there and twist it? That may break the hold, and you can then persuade it out. Quote

The guy I have work on the cars is going to work on it tomorrow.. He says he has a pick that he usually gets them off with, and if that doesn't work he's going to take off the dipstick tube.. He's throwing in a new thermostat as well to see if that helps my mileage problem.. Quote
dohc v6 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 that happened to me as well. What I did was push the diipstick down all the way till it hit the bottom of the pan, which is like 2" down, got a very tight thread from like a drywall screw and turned it in. Its fun though Quote
stockgp Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 i would just unbolt the tube fro the engine, then pull it out far enough that you can push the dipstick out. muy facil Quote

stockgp Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 oh i see. well do what i said, then feed a hanger or something up through the tube. Quote
