Oil Dipstick Help ASAP

since that hole in the center is empty, can you get a small flat blade screw driver in there and twist it? That may break the hold, and you can then persuade it out.

 

That's a good idea.. I've given up on it though since the weather here is really crappy.. The guy I have work on the cars is going to work on it tomorrow.. He says he has a pick that he usually gets them off with, and if that doesn't work he's going to take off the dipstick tube.. He's throwing in a new thermostat as well to see if that helps my mileage problem..

that happened to me as well. What I did was push the diipstick down all the way till it hit the bottom of the pan, which is like 2" down, got a very tight thread from like a drywall screw and turned it in. Its fun though

i would just unbolt the tube fro the engine, then pull it out far enough that you can push the dipstick out. muy facil

 

The dipstick isn't in the tube, just a plastic piece from around the handle..
