Stiff rear struts?

Is there different versions of rear struts for our cars? I put these blue ones on my cutty about a year ago and they seem to have more bounce then the old silver ones I had. I bought them from a guy in the paper they were never used but he bought them for a 4 door. My g/fs old international seemed to be much stiffer in the rear.

I think the rears were all the same. But stiff is good! As long as the car bounces back up, I wouldnt worry much about it.
