dohc v6
Ok guys, again I have another problem. When I was playing with my wiring yesterday, when i turned the radio on I had no screen and the front pass speaker was making a whingin, getting worse with RPM. So I reset the radio and that fixed that. But the front speaker still wines. Did I blow the speaker or something?
slick
No, it's engine noise. Re-run the speaker lead, or shield it from the power cable.
dohc v6
This just happened, it has never done this.
dohc v6
I will check the wiring in the back of the car where the amp is, thats right next to the battery, amybe one of the wires are close to the battery.
GP1138
I will check the wiring in the back of the car where the amp is, thats right next to the battery, amybe one of the wires are close to the battery. Â From the pictures you posted in your other thread, with all of those wires hanging down right behind the battery, I find it hard to believe that there isn't one close to the battery. dohc v6
hahah, true, but this happened when i was playing with the AUX post yesterday. but I am sure a wire could have scooted over that way. I will check.
dohc v6
Haha, something is fucked. The stereo is not loud at all now. and I still get the whine in the speaker but it does not go up with the rpm anymore. Maybe a wire loose on the amp? GP1138
Maybe a wire loose on the amp? Â Why don't you go wiggle the wires? It seems silly to me to ask about loose wiring, when you could easily rule that out yourself.
dohc v6
True, I gotta get my post # up to yours, lol

dohc v6
I found 3 loose wires on the amp, I think that fixed it, but hey I just added another one to my post count, hahha
dohc v6
Haha, this car is just so much fun. Well that did not fix it as usual. This happend when i was playing with the AUX battery post so I dont know what that does, but it messed up my radio. When I turn the volume all the way up the amp cuts out and the speakers are totally crackly, they sound like junk. Any ideas?
dohc v6
hah, i love fixing my own problems, yet this was a hard one. I took the ground and moved it and it works perfect. Hopefully when i drive away it still works.
dohc v6
Slick, how do I shield the wires. The ground works now, I think that the 00 power wire is transfering right across the rca wire for my radio.
slick
They make aluminum backed taped, you can wrap it in that. Â What brand of HU do you have? Â Are these speakers amplified, or running off of the deck?
dohc v6
Its a kenwood exelon x890. I am running kicker components in the front and kicker coaxial in th back, all running on a kicker amp
dohc v6
Also another thing, sometimes the radio wont be as loud. It will still play music but not lound, and then it will have like a spike of power. Maybe causing both issues.
slick
Sounds like an amplifier issue to me.
