z34duck Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I want to replace the mirrors on my 93 lumina z34 Like the looks of the 97-03 grand prix mirrors will they fit with out major mods plmk thank you john Quote
Andrew Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 no matter what, they would look completely wrong on a Z34. this is of course IMO. Quote
Euro Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Yeah they wouldn't really flow well with the car IMO either. Quote
J Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 thats not what he asked, You best bet is to take yours apart and make a template and go to a JY and find out. Quote
boulevard Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 The Junk Yards usually have a never ending amount of Luminas. Any 90-94 Luminas mirror would fit. They are all black plastic. should run you about $12.00 or less a piece. Quote
J Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 he wants to know if the 97-03's mirrors will fit on his first gen Quote
boulevard Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 I would think they would mount the door just fine, but I couldn't imagine that the mounting plate would match the shape and profile of the OEM mirror you wanted to replace. Beside, those mirrors housing is so rounded and too smooth to fit an older GM body style and design. I wouldn't think it would look right even if the mounting plate did bolt up tightly. Two completely different looks. Did you want to know because you want powered mirrors? I think thats his real conquest here. Then you should retro fit the newer mirrors mechanicals into an older mirror housing or just switch out the mounting plate from one mirror to the other. Let us know how it comes out! Quote
Q-Ball Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 They dont fit 1st gen gp's so i doubt they would fit your lumina. Quote
z34duck Posted January 23, 2008 Author Report Posted January 23, 2008 Just thought they would look good if i could make them fit but maybe not Quote
Q-Ball Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 You would need custom work, I wouldnt mind doing it either. If your going that far, it would be a good time to think about putting the light signals in the mirror or on the casing. Quote
