ihateallmustangs Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 I figure since they didn't use these gauges in the stock cluster I could just buy some cheaper electrical volt/oil gauges and mount them in the a pillar. This being easy since this is a daily driver rather then fishing through mechanical gauges. So is all the wireing in the dash? To tap the aftermarket gauges into. Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Hmmm, I never thought about that. What do the pin outs look like in the different years that do have the volt and oil gauges? Better yet I know my GP doesn't have them, but do any other 94-96 W-bodies have them? I can't see GM making different wiring harnesses just for 2 gauges. Jamie Quote
1990lumina Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 You'd have to change the pressure sending unit on the engine or the guage won't work..it's a switch on the car's without the factory guage...if you install a guage on it I think it reads max all the time Quote
rockfangd Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 well my 94 cutlass has both. The only w i have seen without those is the lumina Quote
ManicMechanic Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Your Cutlass has an oil pressure switch...Not an actual gauge. lol Quote
