Captain Ficho Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Haven't had a chance to look yet, but I know my lowbeam is aimed way too high. And I mean 'blind oncoming drivers in SUVs' high. I was wondering if anyone could give me a tip on where the vertical adjust is. It's really cold outside and I'd like to save myself the time of finding it myself. Edit: I have a 92 Cutlass Supreme Int'l Series 4dr. Quote
ManicMechanic Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I do believe it's a T15 torx screw on top...Not entirely sure which one it is as I don't have a sedan. Quote
Captain Ficho Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 This morning I had a look quickly while I let the car warm up and figured it was the torx screw... and I noticed it was completely stripped. I was hoping nobody would say that. If that is it, I'm going to have to spend more time in the cold fighting with it now. Damnit! Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I fucking hate those adjustment screws, I've striped quite a few. They're always rusted into place and don't want to turn worth a damn. Quote
ns87 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I stripped my screw. Try using a pair of players on the head of the screw. It should spin pretty freely and work Quote

Captain Ficho Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 So I went out yesterday and there was a little bit left in the screw so I put in my screwdriver and it broke the screwdriver. Goddamn those things are tough. It looks seriously rusted into place. I took the pliers and tried those after but it still wouldn't budge. Quote
jmoore4294 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 I used a 1/4" socket to turn my stripped ones. But I have the mini-quads, not sure if the adjusting screws are the same. Quote
SteveH Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Try the web site I mentioned above. That might loosen it up. Quote
