slick Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Why, when you can swap to OBD II and use something like DHP? Quote
TURBOLUMINA Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 how bout my car runs F-ING SWEET! and i use a megasquirt 2. Feel free to email me and i will give you my number. I will talk to you on the phone about it. It offers so much more than ANY factory computer. Quote
mra32 Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Its been discussed before. Not for a daily driver, most of the time. But I do have a few friends using megasquirt on their DD's. The thing was, they all had at least a few months of downtime when their car was either not running or running too shitty to drive. Megasquirt introduces more variables than you'd think. It is EXTREMELY flexible, being that its open source. I'd keep in mind that it was originally intended for cars that don't have an mpfi system in place already. You do, so I'd probably suggest a piggyback unless you want some sort of drastic change. (Startup parameters and certain loop operations, etc etc) Quote
stevegasm Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Megasquirt sounds so wrong.. I know, I saw this thread and when I read it I was very disappointed. Quote
